Brand Ranking Portal

Web Based Community Portal for Brand Ratings

  • Corporate
  • Symfony, MySQL

A custom software development company required a solution that would help assess a brand’s sustainability based on the consumer rankings received by it.

Client Pain Area

Brands were unable to evaluate how the consumers perceived a product and purchased it. They required insights on consumer buying behavior, which was very vague. They were unable to identify the customer’s preferences, which made it difficult to create new offerings for them.

Sustainability of a brand was also getting difficult to determine. This was a completely manual and tedious process, which was time consuming. The insights on brand preferences were unavailable despite huge amount of data.

This led to customer dissatisfaction, and brand aversion eventually.

Business Objectives

The client wanted a system that would help them understand the customer’s preferences, and on what basis do they make a buying decision.

They wanted a solution that would help the customers know which brands are sustainable, and offer them comparative analysis on the different brands and their products.

The aim is to increase credible offerings for the brand, thus improving satisfaction levels and increasing brand loyalty.

The Solution

We proposed a community based brand ranking application using Symfony MVC 1.1 framework with MySQL 5.x for database management. The application proposed supports two languages- English and Dutch.

The brands are displayed as per the country selected, and the user can check the ratings offered to the brand, and the influencers as well as followers for the brand. The users can even rate their brands on this portal.

The solution offers role-based access and authorization.
